Yesterday I arrived back home safely after a two week trip to Bandit in Cormons, Italy. I arrived Friday December 1st at Nicola’s, Sara’s and Nina’s beautiful home upon a small mountain, almost at the top. From the top you have a gorgeous view of the surroundings and we have had some nice walks there! Saturday 2nd we checked Gaia’s progesterone at a veterinary clinic, but it was still very low. Every 2 days we checked again but Gaia definitely took her time! I think she decided we both needed a holiday :). Luckily the Grandis family welcomed us in their home, cooked fantastic lunches and dinners, and tried very hard to communicate with me in English. Daughter Nina performed ballet, tap dance and singing for me, played the piano and we read together, the same book about the Gruffalo in English and Italian. What an amazing little girl. Finally we got the ‘good to go’ from the vet 1 week later. Gaia and Bandit were together saturday, sunday and monday 9, 10 and 11th of December and now we can only hope and pray for healthy puppies mid February!

Thanks Nicola, Sara and Nina for a fabulous time, I already miss you and hope to see you and Bandit in Holland this early spring, because that will mean we have succeeded our quest!

And thanks hubby Ronny for taking such good care of all the dogs, cats and chickens at home! Love you!
